Jessie Lang - Trainer, C.Quito

USEF “R” JUDGE: HU, EQ, HU BR, “R” JUMPER

I grew up in Northern Virginia, an area which provided my early riding years with riding eagerly across the countryside, to horse shows and foxhunts. My hunger for the show ring became a career in the 1980’s teaching and riding champions for the Hunter Breeding, Working Hunter and Jumper divisions such as “Flirtatious” who became the two-time Gold Cup Winner at Devon (Elizabeth Solter, rider).

1990 brought an opportunity of a lifetime to live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming as hunter / jumper trainer for a 400 acre world-class facility in the Teton Mountains. My career went from 25 show weeks a year to 10! With a devoted group of clients, I imported and sold renown future Grand Prix horses such as “Cristallo” (Richard Spooner), produced national and zone champions in High Performance Hunters and became a tier 1 International Hunter Derby rider in 2013 and 2014.

My travels culminated with the grey Belgian warmblood stud horse “C. Quito”, the back-to-back winner of the Franktown Meadows $25,000 International Hunter Derby in 2011 and 2012 (among others), the Reg. Conformation Hunter Capitol Challenge class winner and the Reg. Conformation Hunter Champion at Harrisburg, PA.

Aside from my passion for judging, I am a member of the USHJA Zone 9 Committee, the USHJA International Hunter Derby and Hunter Breeding Committees as well as the USEF National Hunter Committee. When not ringside, I am riverside - white water kayaking.
